Principle of Operation: It adopts different cyclones. The main
principle of activated carbon desulfurization is catalysis and
adsorption. When the H2S-containing gas goes through the activated
carbon layer, an exothermic reaction occurs at atmospheric pressure
and the oxidized gas becomes sulfur and water on the surface of
activated carbon, the generated is adopted by activated carbon so
as to achieve desulfurization purpose finally.
Principle of Regeneration: Super heated steam which is heated to
more than 300 ℃ goes through the layer of activated carbon, the
sulfur is melted into liquid or gaseous state, resolved from the
pores of the activated carbon, taken with super heated steam out of
the activated carbon layer and brought into the water cooling tank.
At last, Sulfur is cooled as solids at the bottom of tank,
non-cooled gas exhausts from chimney. Activated carbon can be
regenerated to use continuously and the sulfur is recovered so as
to achieve the purpose of regeneration.
